Red Jelly launched creative play classes, birthday parties and events for children (walkers up to the age of 7 years) almost seven years ago, in 2009. Due to popular demand, additional events are regularly being added to the timetable.
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent or carer, bring your children along to have fun, simply play with BIG art, explore natural & recycled materials, and make a mess. And leave us to clear up afterwards. All our customers say you just can't do this stuff at home!
Themed, classes run on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, some Saturdays as well as some special, school holiday classes and events.
Cost-effective loyalty cards are available - you get six classes for the price of five, and the beauty of these are that you aren't tied-in to a course, you can use them at any term-time class.
Children’s vintage-style, smocks are provided.
Snacks are complimentary at the end of every class.
Booking is strongly advised on a week by week basis due to the popularity of classes, to make sure you get a place.
Red Jelly parties
We love a good party at Red Jelly!
Designed to ensure your child has a party to remember, our parties have people talking about them long after the event!
We encourage children to have fun playing with art and exploring mediums they may not have experienced before. Everyone takes home a gift that ensures your party is not forgotten.
We love grown-ups to get involved playing with art with the kids, but this is optional! Red Jelly aims to make the party stress-free for adults.
Party packages can be tailored to your needs, to make sure your birthday girl or boy will just love their day.
All we ask is that you welcome your guests and provide the party food or choose the Nosh box party option, then leave the rest to us.
We host our parties at Hove Methodist Church Hall but we are happy to go to any venue of your choice, including parks in the summer.
If your having a party/wedding/christening and would like a table of arts & crafts to entertain the little ones, we can offer that too.
Noshbox is children's party food; home baked and beautifully presented in a personalised box for each child, which also contain a toy. It's perfect if you want something a bit different from the standard crisps and sandwiches party fayre.
There is a choice of over fifty yummy home baked treats to go in the boxes, including sugar-free options, gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options, as well as some gloriously unhealthy ones! All our packing is recyclable and/or compostable, and everything is delivered to the venue, removing all the stress out of party planning.

What do parents say about us?
* LOVELY CUSTOMER COMMENT * V chuffed to receive these lovely words from Zoe Ball: "Hoorah for Red Jelly - my little mermaid Nelly and all her friends had a ball being properly messy playing with sticky stuff, foam and gubbins, makin jelly fish, painting mermaids and decorating the castle, making a general hullaballoo. It's the perfect set up, the kids get to be messy and do the things they love, mums and dads can join in or have a cuppa and then everyone goes home with a wonderful Red Jelly goodie bag full of creative goodies leaving all the mess behind. We had a wonderful party. Thank you".
* LOVELY PRESS REVIEW * Red Jelly classes are run (impeccably well) they grabsthe children’s attention and inspire them with a weekly innovative theme. I love the fact there are multiple weekly classes to choose from as well as a weekend class so school age kids and working parents don’t have to miss out. Did we love Red Jelly? YES! Can we get the Red Jelly song out of our heads? NO! Will we be back for another class? Absolutely!"
"It's wonderful coming along to your inspirational classes, you've turned us into a more creative family with your amazing ideas and activities, and helped my son and I find a shared passion and subsequently brought us closer together". Alice from Brighton.
We love Red Jelly! The painting, sticking, making a mess, not having to tidy up afterwards!! What's not to love?! The boys love the freedom of choice on offer and being able to create on their own terms, seeing the concentration & pleasure on the boys faces is priceless! It's just not something you can easily replicate at home! Though we have been inspired on many an occasion to try! We have enjoyed every class we have ever done, regardless of topic, though when it's a topic they love they enjoy it even more! We have been to weekday & weekend classes & had a Red Jelly party & enjoyed every minute. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed and stress free! Thank you Red Jelly!" Kirsten from Hove.
"I just wanted to thank you for an amazing party. I've had texts already about how much all the children enjoyed it and love their party bags [made by Red Jelly]. It was truly brilliant and lovely to have a calm party for once. You clearly put so much work into it and I wanted you to know how much it was appreciated." Helen from Brighton.
"First time I've not felt aware of time dragging at a mum and baby group, I could have stayed for a double session! I really liked the way the room was set up, really nicely organised, but also lovely and free flowing! I also love to see parents and carers finding a way to connect with their creativity." Crim from Brighton
"Red Jelly is such a refreshing class to attend, most toddler groups are a little repetitive but Tash's classes are always fun, new and exciting. What a great way to involve parents in some good old messy play! I love the concept and Tash is so full of energy and enthusiasm, it makes it even more worth while. Great fun for both child and parent." Tarra - nanny from Brighton
Thank you so much for such an amazing 'under the sea' party for Raffi, can’t begin to say how great it was. You were very considerate towards Raffi during the party and kept engaging with him, which I was very grateful for. The cardboard boat looked fantastic and the messy trays were great. Everyone said they’d never been to such a creative party, they loved it and went away with lovely memories of Red Jelly, ready to tell everyone what a great time they had! Rachel, Issy & Raffi
We take our daughter Trinity (2 yrs) to these fantastic classes and she LOVES them. They have stimulated an art and craft 'bug' in her and are lively, interesting and very well thought-out. Themes change each week and paints, messy trays and giant cardboard models are clean, safe and huge fun. Children are given space and time to learn and HAVE FUN. If only they were all as good as this..! Stephanie of Hove
Thank you so much for everything you did to make Maisie's 'Peppa Pig' party extra special. She and her friends had a fantastic time! Katie and Maisie
My little boy absolutely LOVES Red Jelly and so do I...he can get completely absorbed in making as much mess as possible without me worrying about tidying up afterwards. The loyalty cards are fab and fantastic value for money. Tash puts in so much effort to make the classes varied and fun-packed, and a great time is always had by all. Neena and Ed
Red Jelly is amazing fun! It’s so great to let your child be free and explore without inhibition and feel absolutely no concern for the ensuing mess! Take a washcloth, towel and change of clothes for your little one just in case they decide to sit in the water and/or paint trays! Accept that your little darling may spend the rest of the day with blue hair and enjoy watching their utter delight at Tash’s wonderful weekly themed creations.
So much thought is put into every session, complete with all the little touches. Everything is safe and non-toxic so if your child decides to suck the paintbrushes or eat the squidgy stuff you need not worry! Alison and Alex Clarke of Brighton
